Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at your hotel in Ronda. You can walk around this charming city.
Meals included: none
Overnight in Ronda


Day 2: Ronda to Montejaque
Ancient Ronda is a one of the most interesting cities in all Andalusia. The landscape, the layout of the town, its history, the romantic legend of its bandits... The city is the cradle of numerous bullfighters and artists whose names have gone down in history.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking 13 km (ascent: 442 m)
Meals included: Breakfast
Overnight in Montejaque


Day 3: Cortes to Colmenar
Transfer from Montejaque to Cortes de la Frontera where the route begins. This route never disappoints, as you hike through rough valleys with lush gardens. You will hike on old trails used by the muleteers in the past to transport wheat and olives that were milled in the numerous mills on the banks of the Guadiaro River.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking 13 km (ascent: 758 m)

Day 4: Colmenar to San Pablo de Buicete
The romantic legend of these lands is linked to the famous “Bandoleros” of the Serrania de Ronda. They were highwaymen who hid in the hills and the forests to rob the wealthy travelers going to Ronda. Hike along the paths that the smugglers used to take, carrying tobacco and other goods from the coast to Ronda from where it was distributed throughout Andalucía and Spain.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking 13 km (ascent: 489 m)

Day 5: Castillo de Castellar to Los Barrios
Today, the route allows you to discover the Hispano-Muslim heritage of the region from a privileged location in the Los Alcornocales Natural Park: the southern edge of the Sierra de los Melones. The route heads north from Castellar Castle, built during the Nazar kingdom.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking 14 km (ascent: 617 m)

Overnight in Los Barrios


Day 6: Tarifa
Walk to Punta Paloma through a lovely pine forest along the Atlantic coast. Enjoying splendid views of the African continent on the way. The route mostly runs through fine sandy beach trails.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking 17 km (ascent: 393 m)
Meals included: Breakfast
Overnight in Tarifa


Day 7: Columns of Hercules
This could be considered the southernmost route of the Iberian Peninsula. It runs parallel to the coast through an old livestock route. The whole route constitutes a splendid natural viewpoint to the Strait, Morocco, and the colony of Gibraltar, with the pillar of Hercules and Djebel Musa, forever standing at the other side.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking 13 km (ascent: 323 m)

Day 8: Departure
Transfer to airport after breakfast.

Easy pace and an average-to-sedentary level of fitness. You should be in good health and fit enough for full day of normal sightseeing and walking.
2. Easy to Moderate
An average level of fitness or some experience with the featured activity is recommended.
3. Moderate
Requires you to have performed the featured activity regularly, with some periods on challenging terrain. Activities are mandatory and you may be traveling at high elevations. You need to be in good health and physical condition to enjoy these trips, with adequate muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance.
4. Demanding
You must be extremely physically fit and are expected to hike or ride four to six hours over steep or more rugged terrain.
5. Strenuous
Prolonged hiking/biking on moderate to difficult terrain (five to nine hours a day).
May include high altitude, rugged terrain etc..
