Itinerary for Curuzú Parade Ride




Sample Itinerary - subject to changes

To take part in the parade, you must dress with a beret and green scarf, white shirt and light-colored gaucho trousers, also called “bombachas”.  
The estancia will provide a beret and scarf to be worn during the parade. You can ask the estancia to buy the bombachas and shirt with an additional cost.

Day 0: Transfer to Estancia
Depart from the bus depot in Buenos Aires for an overnight bus journey to Curuzú Cuatiá. The estancia can arrange transfers from there on request for an extra fee.
Dinner is included in the overnight bus service.

Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at the estancia after 2 pm. You will go on a short introduction ride to get to know your horse better.

Day 2: Ride to Ovejero Outpost
After an early breakfast (6:30 am), you start your ride to the "Puesto Tacurú " (a 14 km ride ). We will stop at this outpost for our lunch break.
In the afternoon the ride continues to the "Ovejero" outpost located in the estancia San Luis del Garabata – (8 km ride)

Day 3: Ride to Curuzú Cuatiá
Today, a long riding day awaits. We will cover 42 km on horseback to the Rural Society of Curuzú Cuatiá. A picnic will be served in the countryside, on our way there.
The horses are left at the Rural Society for the night, while riders are transported to the Estancia for the night.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Parade Ride
Transfer to Curuzú in time to get ready for the parade.
After the parade, transfer back to the Estancia. Tonight, we enjoy a lamb barbecue (asado) and a bonfire.

Day 5: Departure.
After breakfast, end of the program.

Non Riders
Non-riders are welcome to join on this tour. While the rest of the group is riding, non-riders can go biking and/or canoeing at no extra cost. It is also possible to arrange some boast fishing for an extra fee upon request.

Riding Level Explained
ABeginner
Beginner A rider who has limited experience, is unable to post the trot and does not canter.
BNovice
Novice A rider who is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, comfortable and in control at the walk, moderate length posting trots, and short canters.
CIntermediate
Intermediate A rider who has a firm seat, is confident and in control at all paces (including posting trots, two point canters and gallops), but does not ride regularly.
D Strong Intermediate
Strong Intermediate An intermediate rider who is currently riding regularly and is comfortable in the saddle for at least 6 hours per day.
EAdvanced
All of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, and capable of handlinga spirited horse in open country.
Lodging: Standard
Lodging Level Explained
   
= Facilities in lodges, estancias, haciendas, resorts, etc.
   
Basic lodging - some with shared bathroom facilities, usually no AC or room service.
Regular standard room - usually with private bath.
 Accommodations with superior comforts.
