Isla de Damas

Active vacation & Pacific Nature Reserve (after your stay at the Hacienda)

Isla de DamasDay 1
The connection program from the hacienda starts after breakfast. During the morning journey to La Serena. Short stay for a walk before continuing to Punta de Choros (duration approx. 4 hours). The location of your private bungalow is at the edge of the fishing village Choros directly at the sea. The bungalow has nice rooms, a small kitchen and a big terrasse overlooking the sea. In the afternoon there is plenty of time for a nice walk at the Pacific or to go for a swim. Dinner and overnight in bungalow.

Day 2
Breakfast. Start of private boat tour. An experienced boat guide takes you to the three islands (each guest is equipped with a life jacket). Isla de Damas is a former nature reserve in Chile. Here at the white beach live not only cacti and the Humboldt penguins but also seals, sea birds in the cliffs and dolphins are circling around the boat. The tour takes about four hours. After your return it is time for lunch. During the afternoon you can sunbathe on your terrasse, swim in the Pacific or explore the beaches. Dinner and overnight in bungalow.

Day 3
Breakfast and departure from Punta de Choros to La Serena for your following program or departing flight.

Of course you are welcome to join another program, as many of or guests do, a 1 day/ 1 night excursion called “Southern Cross” to the observatory Mamalluca. We would then take you from Punta Choros directly to Vicuña on the same day.
