SPECIAL ACTIVITY WEEK 2019

First Crow Indian Re-enactment Ride and Ranch Week
June 23rd – 29th, 2019

Guests must arrive on June 23 and will be collected between 1:00pm and 3:00pm in Billings with a quick opportunity to shop in the city before heading to the ranch. The rest of the day will be spent settling in and allowing guests to familiarize themselves with the ranch and its amenities. Sunday is spent doing initial horse safety and ranch riding.

Monday 24th the day will include ranch riding.

Tuesday 25th guests will depart early after breakfast from the ranch for the Real Bird Custer two-day ride. Our Native American Crow I
Indian guides will retrace Custer’s Last footsteps into battle with guests. They will share their Native American perspective on the Battle of The Little Bighorn. Guests will have the opportunity to ride Native American horses. Packed lunch and dinner will be provided for our guests. Overnight camp will be in a Native American Crow teepee. Airbeds and sleeping bags will be provide, we can also provide two man tents if requested.

On Wednesday 26th we will start the day with a camp breakfast and the day will see the second part od our two day ride which will cover approximately 12 miles per day. The ride finishes going through Medicine Tail coulee and crossing the Little Big Horn River. A set lunch after the ride is provided at the Trading Post where guests can shop for souvenirs. We will return to the ranch for supper.

Thursday 27th will be spent ranch riding as per our standard ranch package.

On Friday 28th we will depart from the ranch after breakfast for the Real Bird re-enactment of the Custer battle. A set lunch at the Trading Post and some time to shop is included before the guests are transported to the re-enactment to relive the battle. We will return to the ranch for supper.

Guests will depart on Saturday 29th after breakfast.  We will also give our guests an opportunity after the reenactment to drive thru the Custer Battlefield grounds and visit the museum.

The timing of all rides may vary depending on weather conditions and temperatures and may depart either with an early morning start or later in the evening when the temperatures are more suitable for the safety of our guests and horses. We also need to make aware that it is the ranch owner’s decision when to make changes to a ride and if ground conditions are dangerous for the guests and horses, rides may be canceled. As the Native American rides are pre-planned, no refund is given if ride is canceled due to weather conditions, but we will try to arrange a replacement day ride within the week if possible.
