We offer you a short circular route that goes through the mountains of southern Andalusia with their wonderful views over the Mediterranean Sea, Africa and the colony of Gibraltar.
This program is ideal for intermediate riders who want to gain more trail experience. It is also a perfect program for those who want to do short rides and have some time to relax at the same time.
Each day, you will enjoy a half-day ride in the varied landscapes of Los Alcornocales Natural Park, which houses one of the biggest forest of cork oak trees, and one full riding day with picnic meal.

We recommend renting a car to explore the surrounding area and have more restaurant options for lunch and dinner.
Pick-up/ drop-off are available from Malaga Airport or Algeciras train station. Pick-up on Day 1 can is scheduled for earlier than 6pm. On the last day, you will be dropped off at the airport after 7am.
Transfers are also available from Malaga bus or train station at no extra cost.

Day 1: Arrival
We will pick you up from Malaga airport (or Algeciras train station) and transfer you to your accommodation. We will then match horses with rider based on various criteria such as height and riding experience.

Overnight at Finca las Majadillas in Los Barrios
Day 2: Arabian Stud Farm
It is time to get in the saddle and go for a ride around the farm where we are accommodated. The owners breed beautiful purebred Arabian horses.
Half day ride

Day 3: Two Continents, One Peninsula
Today, we will ride to a beautiful viewpoint and encounter some animals on the way (if we are lucky).

Day 4: Natural Paradise
We will ride along the Palmones River, that flows into the Strait of Gibraltar. Here the surrounding environment is rich in wildlife. All kinds of different birds live near the river.
Our ride for the day is pleasant and easy. You will enjoy the beautiful landscape, the cortijadas and the flora and fauna.

Day 5: Bulls Farm & Natural Park
We start the day by visiting a Bulls Farm. Then, we will ride to the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales (some river crossings). The parc is famous for its rich vegetation.

Overnight at Finca las Majadillas in Los Barrios
Day 6: Los Alcornocales Ride
For our last riding day, we will explore the beautiful Los Alcornocales Natural Park, riding among cork trees forests and other beautiful vegetation.

Day 7: Departure
We will transfer you back to the airport after breakfast.

Non Riders
Non-riding companions are welcome to join this trip. It is best to have a car in order to do some sightseeing while the rest of the group explores on horseback.

Seasons
Andalusia benefits from a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers.
Rainfalls are not common in this region as the sun shines on average 300 days a year. Most of the rain falls during the winter months, but it very rarely rains for a long time.

Accommodations
This is a stationary ride, so nights will be spent at the same location.
Description
This charming country house is surrounded by nature. It has 8 bedrooms, all with private bathroom and internet access. Guests are welcome to relax in the living room, by the fireplace or to go for a walk in the lovely garden.
There is a big kitchen that you can use to cook every day.
In case there are less than 4 riders, a different hotel will be used (Hotel la Montera).

Only breakfasts are included (as well as 1 lunch on the full day ride).
In case you come without a car, we will provide transfers to the nearest supermarket every other day.
