Arizona
USA
Special Offer Available!!
Just outside of Tombstone a new Western guest ranch has opened. Experience the Wild West and all that it entails, from the gunfight with Doc Holliday to a horseback ride into the sunset. Let stage coaches pass you by in the vast countryside. Enjoy great views and listen to the coyotes howl. Here your dreams of the Old West come true! The Western program includes trail riding to your heart's desire, movie nights under the open sky, live country music around the campfire, western shows in the original saloon with international artists, Can-Can, stagecoach rides, pool parties, and much more.
This unique ranch offers everything a horse lover could wish for. Dried out river streams - also called 'washes' - drag on for miles through the country and perfect for nice canters. Novice riders will quickly learn in the arena the gentle Native riding style, characterized by respect and trust. We will guide you through some of the most beautiful country you've ever experienced, where the extraordinary scenery changes every few minutes. These trail rides are for all levels of riding skill in addition to offering unique photo opportunities for those who want to capture the beauty of the desert. Morning rides are long enough to enjoy the scenery, with as many rest or photo stops as the riders desire, and are accompanied with stories of nature and local history shared by the wranglers. Interested in some cattle work, we can set this up for you as well.
Lodgings are provided in luxurious guest rooms like "Wyatt Earp" or "Doc Holliday" along a special Western-theme street of the 1880s. Vacation in Jail? Or maybe at the Grand hotel? You can select between 17 different guest houses. Each Western theme is special and individually equipped with authentic interior of that time - and of course an authentic Western Saloon is there for your evening entertainment -- you may even play a 'round of Poker' with Doc Holliday as the dealer. We also organize trips to into the Dragoon Mountains or into Tombstone, the saloons, the gunfight, shopping, Old Tucson Film-Studios, Tucson Desert Museum, and the Old Bisbee Mining Town.

We can also provide riding lessons for an extra fee.
Slow rides
For all levels of rider (walking only). Exploring the Tombstone hills, the rides are scenic and cover a variety of terrains including sandy desert washes, abandoned railroad grade, old jeep trails and hills once mined for silver. Take in spectacular views of surrounding mountain ranges, Tombstone town and of the land where Apaches, cowboys and prospectors once rode.
Fast Rides (mandatory to join at least 1 slow ride before joining a fast ride)
For a more challenging riding adventure. Walking, trotting and loping through the high desert terrain and a chance to really ride your horse.
Half Day ride
This ride takes guests on an adventure in the Tombstone Hills. With breathtaking views of the Huachuca Mountains and many prospectors monuments and abandoned mines to spot this ride covers beautiful country.
Team Penning
Try your hand at moving cattle in the arena!
Obstacle Course
You and your horse work together to perform different activities, crossing a bridge, going over logs, opening and closing a gate, and even getting the mail.
Specialty rides
- Trail to the 1800s: Our Wranglers take you back in time to visit local history. Petroglyphs, hand dug wells, mine shafts, rock cabin ruins, abandoned railroad trestles and the hidden valley are just some of the places to ride by.
- Ride to Tombstone: Ride to town just like Wyatt Earp and the gunslingers of the past. Through old ranches and along washes, step off your horse in an old Bull Riding arena and head to Allen street for an opportunity to look around the town, take in the sights, do a little Western shopping or have a beer at Big Nose Kate’s. Mount up and ride back to the ranch down Schieffelin Monument road.
- Beer and Cheetos ride: Wash away the dust with a cold refreshing beer, taste some empty calorie snack foods and share stories with good company, in the Arizona desert.
- Tequila Taster: Raise a red solo shot cup to your favorite western hero all while sitting on your horse on the desert trail.
- Winter Gathering: Ride through dry riverbeds, rocky desert hills, slot canyons and mesquite groves to find and gather our herd of Criollo cattle and drive them to the ranch, then back out to pasture. Trail riding if there is spare time.

Our tour will take you to council rock to walk where the Apache’s once walked and view the stronghold that was their home for many years.
Chiricahua National Monument Tour (Minimum 3 people)
One of the most spectacular places in Arizona, this area is thought to be formed because of a volcanic eruption some 27 million years ago. Hot ash fell and covered the area, now after many years of erosion spectacular “Hoodoos” (column like formations) are left. The national monument also preserves the Faraway Ranch that was once owned by Swedish immigrants Neil and Emma Erickson.

Designated a Riparian area by Congress in 1988, the San Pedro area is home to 84 species of mammals, 14 species of fish, 41 species of amphibians and reptiles and 100 species of breeding birds. It is also a valuable home to 250 species of migrating and wintering birds as well as containing archaeological sites that show the remains of human habitat from 13,000 years ago.
Trip to the town of Bisbee (Minimum 3 people)
With its colorful history the historic copper mining town of Bisbee is fun and informative to visit. Founded in 1880 Bisbee is known as one of the richest mineral sites in the world. Nowadays Bisbee is full of fascinating shops and restaurants coupled with interesting historical tours.
Kartchner Caverns State Park (Minimum 3 people)

With one of the major vineyard areas being in the high desert in the nearby Sonoita/Elgin area. With the altitude ranging between 3800ft and 6000ft the Sonoita/ Elgin high desert area has warm days and cool nights perfect for the grape growing season. Arizona wines are growing in popularity and the Sonoita vineyards produce some of the best.
OK Corral Gunfight (Minimum 3 people)

Downtown Tombstone Historical Tour (Minimum 3 people)
Cowboys, Apaches, Prospectors, Miners and Red Light Ladies are only part of the colorful history of Tombstone AZ. It was one of the last boomtowns in the old west. The town was very prosperous 1877 to 1890 and was considered the largest productive silver district in Arizona. Its population grew from 100 to around 14,000 in less than seven years. Seasons
The climate in Southern Arizona, only half an hour from the Mexican border, is beautifully arid and clear. With few exceptions, the days are warm and sunny, and the mild autumn, winter, and spring temperatures are no legend. Even if it becomes hotter in the summer, the low humidity makes the high temperatures quite pleasant.
The climate is perfect for riding all year. During July and August rides are only during the early morning end late afternoon hours. Even December and January offer great riding weather during the day.
Ranch attire is completely casual, if you wish to dress up for evenings, Western wear is appropriate.
Recommended Items
- Jeans: pairs for riding and pairs for evening/daytime wear
- Belt
- Shorts/ Skirts: depending on time of year and weather conditions
- T-shirts/Sleeveless tops/Comfortable shirts
- Long sleeve shirts: we highly recommend riding in long sleeve shirts to block the sun
- Outerwear: jackets and layers are suggested
- Walking/Hiking boots
- Riding Boots: not compulsory for riding, but boots with a low heel are the safest if you do not have riding boots
- Chaps: personal preference; not compulsory for riding
- Sandals/Flip flops: for the pool/hot tub area
- Bathing suit- for the pool / hot tub
- Bike Shorts/ Tights/ Underclothing: to minimize possible chafing from riding

(b) All travellers entering the USA under the Visa Waiver Program require individual machine-readable passports. Children included on a parent's passport also now require their own machine-readable passport. Travellers not in possession of machine-readable passports will require a valid USA entry visa.
(c) Passports issued on or after 26 October 2005 will need to have a biometric identifier in order for the holder to travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Machine-readable passports issued between 26 October 2005 and 25 October 2006 require a digital photograph printed on the data page or an integrated chip with information from the data page. Machine-readable passports issued on or after 26 October 2006 will require an integrated chip with information from the data page (e-passport).
The US has announced new measures that require all travellers to provide details online 72 hours prior to travel.
ESTA: The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) came into force on 12 January 2009. It is a fully automated, electronic system for screening passengers before they begin travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. ESTA applications must be submitted at least 72 hours before travel to the USA. Some websites may charge you for the service but you can apply online for free at www.dhs.gov. The granting of an ESTA does not guarantee entry to the USA.
New Requirements for Travellers: As of 23 January 2007 all persons, including US citizens, travelling by air between the USA and Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda are required to present a valid passport, or other approved document, when entering or re-entering the USA. Similar requirements for those travelling by land or sea will be introduced on 1 June 2009.
For further details about the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, visit the website of the US Department of State: (website: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html).

Visa Note
(a) Landed Immigrants of Canada and British residents of Bermuda who are citizens of, and have valid passports from, Commonwealth countries or Ireland are not eligible to enter the USA without a visa. (b) All passengers using US airports for transit purposes are required to obtain a transit visa. This does not affect qualified travellers travelling visa free under the Visa Waiver Program. (d) To qualify for visa-free travel under the Visa Waiver Program, nationals must travel on a valid passport, for holiday, transit or business purposes only and for a stay not exceeding 90 days. (e) Passengers must have the full address and ZIP code of where they are staying in the USA to be able to fully complete the I-94W form. Note: Airlines are also required to collect passenger details, including the address of their first night's accommodation in the USA, before they board the aircraft. (f) 2. Holders of UK passports with the endorsement British Subject, British Dependent Territories Citizen, British Protected Person, British Overseas Citizen or British National (Overseas) Citizen do not qualify for the Visa Waiver Program.
