The Lipizzan Riding Center near Sezana, is a green oasis established by the Austrian Archduke Karl of Hapsburg in 1580 in order to breed the spirited Lipizzaner horses. As characteristic for their breed, the colts and fillies are born as a brown or mouse-grey color, which becomes the infamous grey as they age.
