Equestrian tours in Cuba

Cuba

Travel restrictions
Cuba opened fully to tourism on November 15th 2021 and all airports are open again for commercial and charter flights, but with reduced frequency.
Only airline passengers are allowed into the airport terminal buildings. When you are travelling to the airport, you can only be accompanied by the person driving you to and dropping you at the airport.

Since January 1st 2022, all passengers arriving in Cuba must confirm they have submitted a sworn declaration about their biographic data.  Passengers may complete the confirmation form online before they travel at:  https://www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio
Upon submission of the electronic form, passengers will receive a QR code to present to Cuban health and immigration authorities when they arrive in Cuba.

Medical insurance is required for travel to Cuba. The medical insurance must cover any type of medical emergency including covid, so in case of medical emergency the tourist is responsible for paying the costs. For this reason Cuba suggests to have medical insurance for all types of medical emergencies including covid. If you are unable to obtain insurance before your trip, you can purchase medical insurance in Cuba at the airport or visit www.cubatravel.cu
For more information on what the insurance includes, contact the representative at the Insurance desk at the airport in Cuba.
Cuba requires visitors to have non-U.S. medical insurance, which is usually included in airline ticket prices on flights originating in the United States.

Visitors are no longer required to routinely self-isolate or take a PCR test on arrival in Cuba, but sanitary authorities are present at the airport and will carry out random PCR tests.
Anyone testing positive on arrival will be moved to quarantine in a designated government health center, at their own expense.

Measures taken by the government
On July 19th 2022, the Government reintroduced the compulsory use of face masks on public transport, in healthcare settings and medical facilities, as well as for people with respiratory symptoms. Using face masks in all other settings is “recommended”.
