Other Activities
Aside from riding and fishing, there is a lot more to do at the ranch. For
our trap shooting (at a nearby range) and rifle range, we have 12 and 20
gauge shotguns and .22 rifles plus instruction (ammo available in the
Trading Post). There is also an archery range, horseshoe pit, volleyball and
basketball (half court). We keep our ski boat at Navajo Lake and Rough
Riders and Teens can spend a day or two at the lake power-tubing or water
skiing. Families can also experience a half day of rafting on the Animas
River.
There are always the quieter activities of relaxing by our heated pool or
hiking in the forest. You choose! The evenings are filled with fun too. You
may enjoy an ice cream social, a hayride and campfire sing-a-long, a night
at a Victorian melodrama and more.
Extras off the Ranch
Some optional special activities in the Durango area include a guided trip
to Mesa Verde National Park, a half day cattle drive at a nearby ranch or a
day on the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Should you be interested
in adding these to your vacation (reservations for the train must be made
early) call us, we are happy to advise you of the current charges.
