The climate in this area of Germany is most pleasant. From May to mid-October it is lovely, with warm days and mild evenings. Rains can occur anytime throughout the year, but in summer they are usually of short duration. You may even have the thrill of a thunderstorm after a hot day!
Limburg lies in the Limburg basin, which is blessed with a particularly mild climate. No matter which direction you approach the town from, the first thing you see is the region’s most prominent landmark: Limburg Cathedral with its seven towers, perched on a steep rock above the Lahn River and the Old Town.
