The horses were excellent and I enjoyed riding to castles instead of taking a tour bus. Ann-France was an excellent tour guide and worked hard to give us a trip of a lifetime.

The poor communication system on the trails with riders expected to pass messages down the line. By the time instructions arrived at the end, it was either too late or distorted.

A very well-organized trip. Friendly guides and other riders. Beautiful chateaux, countryside, and weather. Great meals and wine. The horses were in fine shape, too.

Bothered you
I should have packed lighter! Staying in lovely old chateaux means not having an elevator. The hard part was hauling my suitcase up and down spiral staircases!

The meals each night and tours of the chateau's. Learning about the history.

Bothered you:
Accomodation was not always inside the chateau but in another building.

We enjoyed seeing the castles and having Anne-France as our leader. She was very helpful whenever we needed anything and was very knowledgable about the historical aspects of the tours. It was fun to attend a horse show at Chambord and the light show at night on the side of the castle.

Bothered you
I am used to riding smooth gaited horses. It was a shock to my body to ride horses that weren't gaited. 

I was very pleased with all the castles we visited, the picnic lunches, and the Chateau de Breuil was fantastic. I was very surprised at how sore I was all over from the riding and then walking through the castles. I decided not the ride the second day as I was aching so much.

Our host/guide did a phenomenal job. Very knowlegeable, friendly and easy going.

Enjoyed the most: The whole experience was so incredible that it would be hard to pinpoint one thing i loved.... but of course the fact that everything was planned so well and Anne France took such good care of us made it so enjoyable. As a tourist i would say i enjoyed the horse show and the castle tour.

Bothered you: That we did not chose to buy the longer package!

Comments: I would reccommend Anne France's Loire Valley Ride to every and anyone in search of the perfect experience of the French castle adventure. I can not say enough great things about how she kept us busy and happy from dawn to after dark and never once were we bored. We were never confused about the package and what was included. We were made to feel special and the horses were well mannered and beautiful. Anne France was the absolute model of perfection in her itinerary and timing. From riding up the castle paths across the fields, to the gourmet picnic lunch to the renassaince show.  We were taken care of with the highest level of professionalism and personalism.  We never had to worry about the cost or entrance fees, everything was taken care of and inclusive in our package and it was an incredible experience riding the horses thru the small villages and the fields..
