The weather was miserable the whole time so we were uncomfortable most o the time. Some of the horse were very rough to ride

In general we have no complaints. Our guides were excellent at their jobs but we did not enjoy this ride as much as others in the past.
The Islandic horses are great fun. I never ride an English saddle, but the horses are so easy to ride, it didn't matter. I loved the experience of changing horses several times a day and driving the herd of extras with us.
The guest houses do have limited facilities with only one or two bathrooms for 20 people.
Iceland is a beautiful country with w/wonderful, friendly people. This was a great way to see the countryside. The accommodations are ad advertised--basic. One place has no electricity. Air Canada lost my luggage and never delivered it. The staff was great--they gave me a couple of shirts, loaned me a sleeping bag and helmet and worked to try to find my luggage. One of the guides even loaned me riding pants! They could not have been better.
