Enjoyed the most

Excellent guide and logistics support. Good-natured, totally calm and sure-footed horses -- loved my horse! Enjoyed lovely pic-nic lunch everyday.

Bothered you

None.

Comments

Enjoyed the trail very much. Some of the accommodations were basic but adequate, some were a bit nicer. None of the accomodations had usable wifi except the 2nd night stone lodge (but only in the dining area). Breakfast was typical continental (coffee and bread/butter/jam) so be aware if you are a hearty breakfast eater. Overall very good and relaxing vacation trail.

Enjoyed the most:

Wonderful scenery and very knowlegeable guide. Loved the two riders with me. Wonderful food.

Bothered you:

Was joined by another rider for one day who couldn't ride well. Meant that we missed one of the funnest days and had to stick to the paved roads. They didn't let her ride after that.

Enjoyed the most: The lunches during the ride were excellent, the good food followed by a siesta was a perfect combination. The guide proved to be a knowledgeable and experienced trail guide. The horses were a mix of different breeds, but all were fit and capable of each days ride. The places that we stayed at were great!

Bothered you: The flies were numerous and my horse was very bothered by them. One accommodation had party loud into the night, only ending around 3 am which made for a very short nights rest.

Enjoyed the most
the wandering trail and Jean Francoise, the guide.the lunch in different areas under the trees.the fields and wildflowers. the quaint villages. La Fountain lodge in the valley was very, clean, friendly and all around pleasant.

always having to carry saddles and luggage myself.

Enjoyed the most
The guide, Jean-Francois had a great sense of humor. The area of the country we explored was fascinating and with amazing views.

Bothered you
If anything, I would have liked to have a little more time to explore the villages along with explanations and history. It was a little hard because mostly French was spoken.

Comments
