enjoyed:
The incredible mountain/volcano views, seeing the indigenous people working the land, and the peacefulness of the rides.

Bothered:
Even though I prepared for the rides, I was still sore after the first couple of days.

Other comments:
I did not ride the horses belonging to the Hacienda, but instead rode one of the horses belonging to the guide, an Anglo-Arab, very well-trained.  I rode in an English saddle and was mostly comfortable, but should have taken a seat saver with me for the really long days.  Each ride was an adventure...we scoured the countryside and the views were incredible.  I was very lucky to have a guide all to myself with the exception of one day when we had two people join us.

I expected to be able to spend my trip riding and did just that.  Each ride was spectacular.

Enjoyed the most: EVERYTHING!!!!! The Hacienda was beautiful. The people were very gracious. The horses were well cared for.

Bothered you: Nothing.

Enjoyed the most: Beautiful grounds, fireplaces, having the place mostly to ourselves, flowers/birds, etc.

Bothered you: The guide didn't speak English -- and although super nice and a good rider.

Comments: Loved much about the trip, but the riding could've been a higher level pace wise. The horses were good, but not groomed the best (had some mud on them, but in non-saddle areas) which although common in trail situations, isn't what you'd expect at a nice hacienda.

Enjoyed the most: The excellence of our guide Eloy during the 3-day horse trip and the excellent service at the Hacienda.

Bothered you: Although a service charge was included in the price of the trip, it was clear that tipping was expected.

Comments: This was my second Hidden Trails trip, and both exceeded my expectations. I plan to do many more trips and will certainly travel with Hidden Trails again.
