Ecuador
Definitely the scenery. Most of the haciendas were in beautiful settings.
Bothered you
Limited selection at meals and snacks. Everything seemed to be loaded with either sugar or salt, but that seems to apply to all of Ecuador. It’s not an easy country in which to eat healthy!

There were a lot of hours in the saddle so you needed to be a strong rider. The scenery was quite spectacular most of the ride! The accommodations were quite good - The only exception being the one very out-of-the-way hacienda where shared bathroom facilities were the only option and the sleeping quarters offered minimal privacy.
The scenery was wonderful, varied and often breathtaking. Sally, the guide, was extremely personable, caring, safty conscious and fun to be with. She had excellent control of her horses and the grooms involved with the group.
