Absolutely wonderful stay in Corrientes.

Enjoyed the most: The riding out on the open grasslands at our own speed was exhilarating. We also spent two days working alongside the gauchos with the cattle. Great fun.

Bothered you: Leaving

Comments: This was an incredible trip.  There is not one thing I would change.   We rode through incredible country, had amazing lunches, saw wildlife never before seen and stayed in some lovely homes. This trip far exceeded my expectations. Contributing factors were that Pam and I were the only two people of three on the trip.  The other, and more importantly, was that that Fernando could not have been a more considerate guide.  He made it clear on the first day that he and his family were there to take care of us.  Any desire of ours was met immediately.  I have not been a guest at any location that has been more interested in taking care of my needs.  Sometimes before I asked.

Enjoyed the most: Our host and all the people at the estancias went out of their way to see to our comfort and enjoyment. I also felt that we saw an authentic piece of Argentina not just a show for tourists and I loved that.

Bothered you: I wish I'd studied my Spanish more! (But truly it did not effect how much I enjoyed the trip!)

Comments: I was impressed that every detail was thought through and seen to. This is my second ride with Hidden Trails. I went on the Banff Lodge Ride in '04. Both trips have been wonderful. I can combine my desire to travel with my love for horses.

Enjoyed the most: Riding with the herd of free horses. Having the ability to change horses at a moments notice because the gaouchos and especially Ferdnando were so accommodating in every way.

Bothered you: Not staying longer

Comment: This is our third riding vacation: Africa, Tuscany ride, and this one. I must say they were all fab. Which is why we keep doing them. You can never appreciate a country or the people that live there better than from the back of a horse. You attention to detail as a booking co. seems very high quality to us. This is the 2nd. one we've done through guys and it was great.

Enjoyed the most: Riding across the pampas with six free horses running beside us in case we wanted to change mounts. I also played polo and scored the winning goal. I want to go back. Now. I need a horse!

Bothered you: Nothing.

Comments: Lunch siestas lessened the pain of six hours of riding.  My host, Fernando Landgraf and his brother, Guillermo, were unbelievably attentive and kind.  Rarely does reality exceed expectations, but this time, it did.   I could not have been any happier.

Enjoyed the most: The horses, the guide, the country, the food, there was nothing I would change!

Bothered you: Nothing, they couldn't have improved it, it was fantastic

Comments: This was an amazing trip that I have highly recommended to other travellers, both while in Argentina and back home and if I didn't live so far away in Western Australia I would do it again. The horses were fantastic and the ride was great.  The food was outstanding and my every need was more than catered for, and this was much appreciated as I am a vegetarian. The hospitality at each of the places I stayed overnight was amazing and certainly set the scene for the rest of my trip. This ride was the highlight of my trip and I would strongly recommend riders to try it. Fernando, the owner and guide couldn't have done anymore to make this better, and I am even using my gaucho saddle back here that he helped me purchase, with much merriment of the local maker.  More than filled my expectations, better than the other rides I took during my trip. Surpassed my expectations.

Enjoyed the most: The horses, the riding and playing polo. The hosts were very gracious.

Enjoyed the most: The thoughtfulness of Fernando, the degree of attention paid to the riders in terms of our safety as well as our level of satisfaction with the ride details. I was also extremely pleased with the quality of the horses.
