We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our time at the ranch. Iris, Jennifer, Steve, Jessie, Jake, Ike, and Mark were wonderfully hospitable, the accommodations were very appropriate, and the food was excellent. In addition, the guest horses were nothing short of amazing. The horses knew their job and, in one particular instance, really took care of their riders. In addition, although the experience level among the guests varied slightly, everyone had enough skills to truly enjoy the cattle driving experience.

Enjoyed the most

Just getting out and riding and learning. The area was so remote - it was really special in that sense. We saw no other people, homes or cars the entire week. This is a working ranch so when we go out, it is to work. I loved getting the feel of what 'a day in the life of' was like.

Bothered you

Complaints from some of the other riders. While the complaints were valid, it was a downer in a sense. I tend to take things as they come and see it as an opportunity for growth and adventure rather than complaint. The hosts should have had a visual for things like what is a cut ear, what the color tabs were, etc and be clearer on what we were to go after.

Enjoyed the most

I enjoyed the family that hosted us and everything about how they live and share their experience with us. They truly care for what they do and I felt every day it was a privilege to be a part of it. I really felt like a guest to their family home. More that fulfilled. This was a life changing trip, and more than i could expect. It was challenging and hard at times, but I was looking for the real deal. So many speacial moments.

Bothered you

I felt the some of the guests were not on the same page as me, but that is nothing you can do. That had nothing to do with ranch or family.

Comments

I cant say enough how grateful I am to the family. Life changer and so lovely to get to know their family members and history, and just be a part of the crew for a week. I will be back for sure....
