Walking Tour for Lovers in Quebec
In the French part of Canada in Quebec, a magnificent environment awaits you in the Appalachian Mountains chain. Directly in this romantic part of the Eastern Township, a small B&B is the home of this walking holiday. The B&B has an excellent kitchen with carefully prepared meals by the French Chef Gilles Leclerc. He offers gastronomically colorful meals, freshly made with organic vegetables from his own garden. Every night, you will savor gorgeous dishes and you can bring your favorite bottle of wine to accompany.
Come to take a fresh breath in a quiet and calm area, where nature surrounds you and prepares to show you her thousands of acres of forest, surrounded by an endless horizon that is full with wildlife.
During your trip you will discover four gigantesque mountains and one national park. The trails are well-established and clean. The panoramic sceneries are unforgettable, and looking into the deep sky you will feel lonesome, yet blissfully apart of the world.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrival in the afternoon. Meet your hosts and enjoy a delicious dinner (bring your own wine). Overnight
Day 2:  Explore Mont Megantic. You leave the Auberge with your walking guide M. Gilles Leclerc, a native to the area. You will visit the trails of Mont Megantic, just at the top of Mont St-Joseph.  In this serene national park, you will enjoy visiting his astronomy lab museum to discover the science of the universe. The altitude is 3500 feet.  You will enjoy your lunch, a picnic with healthy food and a beautiful view.

Day 3:  Walk on Mont Saint Sebastien.  Just nearby the inn is an Appalachain mountain, where you will receive his Granite Rock interpretation. Walk on wild trails where the views are astounding.  Many surprising spots are exposed just for you, where wild lakes decorate this ecological territory.  Visit the Granite Museum and the artifact boutique.

Day 4:  Mont Coleraine is nearby the area of Thetford Mines, surrounded by lush pine forest. These trails are very well landscaped and many present a unique environment and view. Take a breath and admire the incredible view.  The serenity is insurmountable while you will enjoy the botanical forest which is well preserved and conserved.

Day 5:  Mont Gosford.  In the middle of the Appalachian mountain chain, come to visit this wonderful trail nearby the Lake Megantic.  On these trails you will discover a virgin forest, with spruce trees and maple syrup bushes.  Have a picnic with Gilles in the surrounding woods.

Day 6:  The National Park of Frontenac is a National Reserve of Wildlife.  A massive lake appears on the majority of the reserve.  Many trails are available around the lake, where large ponds are situated to visit ducks, great heron, birds and sometimes deer caught crossing the trails.  A very pleasant beach awaits you just after the walk for some swimming time.  You can also rent a canoe or kayak.  This place reflects tranquility and a goal of preserving nature.
Day 7:  Departure after breakfast
