Introduction
British Columbia Canada

To be with horses every day, riding without limits, or to walk slowly to enjoy nature or a picnic in the middle of nowhere on your own or with a friend - or gallop to feel the breeze brush your face
... no worries about traffic, smog or work.

The 1280 acre ranch, 300 miles north of Vancouver,  is a working guest ranch designed for horse lovers that want to spend as much time on horseback as possible. You can ride on your own or ride with a guide on daily rides and explore the amazing surrounding nature.
The ranch also offers lessons in western riding at no extra charge.
There is hiking, and game watching as well as excellent fishing and swimming in Watch and Green Lake, just minutes from the ranch (best to have a car).
You will find tranquility in the South Cariboo: Canada's True West, where cowboys drive their cattle and display their skills in famous rodeos which you can attend from May through September.

Riding

Itinerary

On arrival, after checking in, you are assigned a horse according to your ability and when you are comfortable with the horse you are free to ride and explore on your own - not nose to tail follow the leader type trail riding. Guides are available at no charge.

As a working ranch, they harvest their own hay, work cows and calves which graze on the range from May to October. From time to time they have to be moved to different areas to avoid over grazing and in fall there is the round up.

The Cariboo is home to over 200 species of birds which are observable either from our deck or on your trail rides.
