Introduction
Westerwald Germany

Join us on a ride through the mountains and forests of the “Taunus” and “Westerwald” ranges. This year we are offering two new interaries- the Three Valley Ride  and  the Panorama Ride!
You will visit antiquated castles, cloisters and rural country estates. Your riding will be over  the quiet forest trails nestled in the untouched nature, deep lush valleys and quiet back-country.

Three Valley Ride
This new ride leads us through the Gelbachtal Valley to the historic Bruchhaeuser Mill and over a mountain pass to the "Lahntal" valley, where we visit the small wine village of Obernhof.  We will  cross the Lahn River to the Cloister of Anstein and the Jammertal Valley.   A visit to the Castle of Hohlenfels, complete with a lunch stop at a local brewery! We will explore the "Taunus"  and pass the Fort of Schaumburg and travel back over the Lahn River into the Daubachtal Valley to complete the holiday before returning home.

Panorama Ride
This new ride starts with a visit to the "Rueckerhof", which was once the hunting estate of the Archbishop of Trier. Lots of nice canters to enjoy along the way.  We follow along the Lahn River towards Dausenau and take you through a medieval gate tower and  to see an 1100 year old oak tree!  We cross the Lahn River and ride into the wine village of Oberndorf for a visit. A chance to ride along the Herta Lake (where swimming is optional) and enjoy more fantastic canters to end the holiday and return home.

Accomodation
Shorter 6 day trek: lunches and the first and last last night dinners are not included. First and last night at "Hofgut Molsberg".
