Please, note that your program includes 4 riding days (1 full day trail and 3 half day trails). Half-Day trails can be replaced by a 1-hour lesson.

Day 1 (Thursday): Arrival
Arrive today between 2:00pm and 6:00pm. You will be staying in converted buildings around the Castle, taking breakfast each morning in the Castle itself. After checking in you will be served with a welcome drink and then you will meet with your guide/instructor who will be looking after you throughout your stay. Today your riding program will begin. Choose from a lesson (compulsory for beginners) or for experienced riders you can start with a ride out in the countryside that surrounds the castle.
Meals included: Dinner
Overnight at the Castle

Day 2 (Friday): Castle to Castle Ride or Riding Lesson
Experienced riders will ride today from castle to castle- a fabulous excursion that will take you through the most unspoiled of Tuscan countryside. The trail will take you through magical scenery offered by the towering Tuscan mountains. Along the way you may spot pheasant, fallow-deer, and wild boars. You will ride around the vicinity of Onano, a fortified town boasting a medieval castle. We will continue through old tracks once used by farmers and open fields passing a delightful medieval church.
For less experienced riders a lesson and a shorter hack are available.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Overnight at the Castle

Day 3 (Saturday): Brigands Trail or Riding Lesson
This morning experienced riders will be heading out along the Brigands Trail towards picturesque Lake Bolsena. This is a fantastic spot with breathtaking views of the area stretching from the beautiful crater of Lake Bolsena on one side, to the hills surrounding Lake Mezzano on the other side. On a clear day you can see the sea 40 km away, shimmering like a mirror. As you head back along this ancient ‘outlaws highway’ you will pass through mature oak woodlands dotted with original farm dwellings built in the traditional tufo rock.
If you are a beginner you can choose between a lesson and a shorter ride out or a longer ride out if you are safe and secure in the saddle.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Overnight at the Castle

Day 4 (Sunday): Ride to Onano
We do a full day's ride through farmland on the Brigands Path into the wooded hills which surround Onano. Along the way, we glimpse stone pine trees atop an ancient Etruscan site and arrive on the flat plain of the Mezzano crater. We stop at the Fra Viaco farm restaurant and meet for lunch. You can take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of the lake. After a delicious meal, we ascend through ancient chestnut woods to arrive back at the castle.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Overnight at the Castle
