What to Bring for White Stallion Ranch


Packing for a ranch vacation is a little unique.  White Stallion Ranch has a casual, outdoor atmosphere so you should dress comfortably for the duration of your stay. Dressier clothing is not needed for evening or other activities. Here are some suggestions for what you might need on your vacation at the ranch. Your needs may vary depending on the time of year and length of your stay. For your convenience, we have a coin-operated laundry facility available for use.

- Jeans: pairs for riding and pairs for evening/daytime wear 
- Belt*
- Shorts/ Skirts: not formal; depending on time of year and weather conditions
- T-shirts/Sleeveless tops/Comfortable shirts*
- Long sleeve shirts: depending on time of year and weather conditions
- Outerwear* – Jackets and layers are suggested
- Walking/Hiking shoes
- Riding Boots: not compulsory for riding
- Chaps: personal preference; not compulsory for riding
- Sandals/Flip flops: for the pool area
- Tennis attire (optional): no black soled shoes are allowed on the tennis court
- Bathing suit: for the pool / hot tub.  Terry cloth robes are provided.
- Bike Shorts / Tights / Underclothing: to minimize possible chafing from riding
- Hat /  Stampede string*
- Sun Protection Items*: sunglasses, lip balm, SPF 15 or higher sunscreen, after-sun moisturizer
- Gloves for riding*
- Camera

Difficulty Levels Explained
1. Easy
Easy pace and an average-to-sedentary level of fitness. You should be in good health and fit enough for full day of normal sightseeing and walking.
2. Easy to Moderate
An average level of fitness or some experience with the featured activity is recommended.
3. Moderate
Requires you to have performed the featured activity regularly, with some periods on challenging terrain. Activities are mandatory and you may be traveling at high elevations. You need to be in good health and physical condition to enjoy these trips, with adequate muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance.
4. Demanding
You must be extremely physically fit and are expected to hike or ride four to six hours over steep or more rugged terrain.
5. Strenuous
Prolonged hiking/biking on moderate to difficult terrain (five to nine hours a day).
May include high altitude, rugged terrain etc..
