Snowy Mountains Camping Ride - Kosciuszko National
Park
in New South
Wales
If
you like camping out you can experience this
lovely part of Australia with our outfitter near
Adaminaby. Experience the unsurpassed
beauty of Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy
Mountains on horseback. The treks cover country
that inspired Banjo Patterson's, "The Man
From Snowy River". Ride the land of
mountain horseman, brumbies, wildflowers and
Alpine wilderness. Gaze from a mountain
top at breathtaking alpine scenery with its
rolling plains; fresh, cool mountain streams;
and carpets of wildflowers. The area unchanged
by time has a wealth of nature's treasures,
hidden caves and valleys, and natural watering
holes just waiting to be discovered by you.
Experience the sheer delight of a dip in a
crystal clear mountain stream only accessible on
horseback, canter across the plains where wild
bush horses roam, explore limestone caves and
historic high country huts. Enjoy bush picnics,
meals of mouth watering trout, steak and roasts
cooked by camp oven, traditional damper and
billy tea. At night sleep under the stars or in
roomy tents contented and rested from your day
in the high country.

1 (Saturday): Possible transfer from Cooma.
Each adventure begins with an
introductory dinner hosted by John and Roslyn,
your hosts.
Please bring a bottle
of wine for the first and last nights if
you so desire.
Please arrive between 5pm and 7pm,
allowing time to meet fellow adventurers.
After dinner you will be briefed on the
week ahead.
Day 2-5: All rides explore the
breathtaking scenery of the Kosciuzsko National
Park. You will be taken to streams where trout
fishing is at its best - or visit a gold mine
where fortunes have been won and lost. We ride
through the northern part of the Park with
places such as Cave Creek, Currango Plain,
Tantangara Creek, Mount Tantangara (well known
for the wild brumbies that frequent the area)
and Mount Morgan. Sitting pleasantly fatigued
around the campfire you will share laughter and
stories of the day's ride. Day 6 (Friday):
Last night is back at the lodge for a hot
shower, farewell dinner and overnight in a cozy
bed. Day 7: Departure after
breakfast.
PLEASE NOTE:
We provide you with
virtually everything you need for camping and
riding, including mattresses, tents, hard hats
and food (you bring your own sleeping bag).

we pick-up only from the afternoon Countrylink
Service and the afternoon
flight. On day of departure we drop off in Cooma
in time for the morning Countrylink Service and
the morning flight. Please
make your reservations through COUNTRYLINK and
