We make every effort to keep our prices the same as published, but all tour prices are based on the foreign currency in which we pay our partners in the country that your tour is taking place. The currency for your trip is listed on our website and on your invoice. The US$ rates as listed in our printed material, or website are subject to change due to the fact that the trip dates and rates have often been published a year in advance. Between that time and the time of the trip’s actual departure, we are occasionally faced with cost increases or currency fluctuations that we cannot absorb. The US$ price for this trip was based on the currency exchange as of October [pricing year].
An ongoing and delicate challenge of running international trips is to estimate how the US dollar will fare in the international market. If we have to add a surcharge to your tour due to exchange rate fluctuation, it will be billed to you when we take the final payment for your trip. The surcharge will be based on the currency exchange rate of that day. Once we have taken the final payment, the rate is fixed and will not change any further for you.
